Elloise Jewelry began in 2015, sparked by a simple conversation between friends. After returning from Israel, a close friend shared ideas about importing products from the region. With a background in B.Com International Trade, I quickly saw that importing from Israel wasn’t feasible due to the weak South African rand. Still, the question stayed with me: What is it about Israel that we long for here in South Africa?

My husband and I spoke about it and agreed, faith-inspired jewelry stood out. It was something personal, meaningful, and deeply connected to Scripture, identity, and a love for Israel.

At the time, I wasn’t planning to start a business. I was busy raising our young children. But the idea took hold, and soon I started sketching simple designs based on verses and themes from the Bible. A local jeweler helped bring those early pieces to life. I photographed them on my phone and uploaded them online, basic, but it was a start.

Little by little, people began to take notice. Orders came in, often with requests for Hebrew inscriptions or other Scriptural themes. Over time, our collection grew organically, shaped by the people who supported us and shared their stories.

Elloise Jewelry is a family run business led by Leedia van der Linde, wife and mother of four boys. Our goal is to create meaningful jewelry that reflects Scripture, Hebrew words, and the values we hold dear. Each piece is handmade, with care and prayer, as a personal expression of faith.
